Version 1.4 - We follow Curaçao's 2024 Games of Chance Ordinance (LOK).

1. Intro

Last changed: 14.08.2025

Gambling should be entertaining for adults. Most players enjoy it responsibly; a small number can lose control. This page explains how to protect yourself, outlines the warning signs to look out for, and provides the tools Kirgo offers to help you stay in control. If gambling stops being fun, pause and use the tools below or talk to us on Live Chat (24/7).

This page is available in multiple languages. If there's any difference, the English version applies. If you need a larger-text or accessible version, contact Live Chat.

2. What is Problem Gambling?

Problem gambling is when gambling behaviour becomes harmful, because control has been lost. It can affect your time, mood, relationships, work/study, and finances.

3. Signs of Problem Gambling

It may be a problem if you notice one or more of these:

  • Spending more time or money than planned; chasing losses.
  • Arguments with family or friends about gambling.
  • Feeling guilty, anxious, or low after gambling.
  • Borrowing money or selling items to gamble.
  • Missing work/study, family events, or other commitments.
  • Hiding how much you gamble.
  • Using gambling to escape stress, boredom, or difficult feelings.

Quick self-check:

4. Maintain Control (Practical Tips)
  • Keep it fun. If it's not enjoyable, stop and take a break.
  • Set money limits. Decide what you can afford to lose - then stick to it.
  • Treat it like entertainment. Wins are a bonus, not a plan.
  • Limit your time. Keep balance with work, family, and other hobbies.
  • Walk away from losses. Chasing losses usually makes things worse.
  • Play smart. Don't gamble under the influence or when highly stressed.
  • Take regular breaks. Long sessions blur time and spending.
  • Stay social. Keep other activities and connections in your week.
5. Minors (18+)

Kirgo is for adults only. To keep minors out, we:

  • Ask for date of birth at sign-up.
  • May ask for a valid ID, selfie, payment-method validation, or database checks.
  • Close under-age accounts immediately.

If an account is found to be underage, all bets are void and any winnings are forfeited. Any remaining real-money balances are returned to the original payment method, where legally permissible.

6. Tips to protect Minors
  • Don't leave devices unattended while logged in.
  • Use strong passwords and don't save them in browsers/devices.
  • Keep account details and payment methods out of reach.
  • Use parental-control tools to block gambling content and set time limits: Net Nanny, CyberSitter, Gamban, BetBlocker.
7. Tools to stay in Control (RG Tools at Kirgo)

Manage everything under Profile → Responsible Gaming, or ask Live Chat (24/7) to set it up for you.

7.1 Deposit Limits

Set how much you can deposit per period:

  • Daily - resets 00:00 UTC
  • Weekly - resets Monday 00:00 UTC
  • Monthly - resets 1st 00:00 UTC

How it works

  • Setting a new limit or lowering a limit: immediate.
  • Increasing or removing a limit: 24-hour cooling-off before it takes effect.
  • Bets placed before a new limit is set aren't affected (limits apply going forward).

Example: If your daily limit is $100, deposits above $100 are blocked until the reset.

7.2 Optional Reminders & Extra Limits
  • Reality checks: on-screen reminders of session length at intervals you choose.
  • Extra limits: where available, set caps on total session time, net losses, or total wagers for a period.
  • You can change these anytime in Profile → Responsible Gaming or via Live Chat.
  • Increases have a 24-hour cooling-off; decreases are immediate.
7.3 Take A Break (Timeout)

Short, fixed pause when you need a reset. Options: 1 Day, 3 Days, 1 Week, 1 Month, 3 Months.

  • During a timeout you can't deposit or play.
  • You can log in to withdraw money.
  • No early reactivation. Your account reopens automatically when the period ends - no action needed.
  • Marketing opt-out available during your timeout.
  • Apply a timeout to a specific product (e.g., Casino or Sportsbook) or to all of Kirgo. If we operate multiple brands, you can apply it to the current brand or to all Kirgo brands.
  • Edge cases: Ante-post sportsbook bets remain and active tournaments must be completed during a timeout. (Under self-exclusion, these are voided/cancelled.)
7.4 Self-Exclusion (Full Stop)

A longer break when a timeout isn't enough.

  • Options: 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, 10 years, or permanent.
  • Covers: all Kirgo brands/domains operated under our licence.

During self-exclusion

  • You cannot log in, deposit, or place bets.
  • Marketing is paused.
  • Pending bets are voided and tournament entries are forfeited.
  • Any real-money balance over $10 (or currency equivalent) is returned after adjusting for outstanding playthrough; bonus balances are excluded.
  • Active or unredeemed bonuses expire and cannot be claimed during exclusion.

Activation

  • If you set self-exclusion in your account, it's active immediately.
  • If you request via Live Chat/email, we activate it during the conversation where possible, and otherwise within 24 hours.

Coming back later

  • Only after the full period ends.
  • You must ask us to review and reopen. Reinstatement is not automatic.

Preventing circumvention

  • We block payment and sign-up methods linked to you during exclusion and close duplicate accounts without refund.
7.5 Kirgo Initiated Protection

If we detect signs of high-risk play, we may apply mandatory limits, temporarily suspend, or exclude an account. We'll tell you what we've done and what to do next.

7.6 Account Closure (For Non-RG Reason)

For personal reasons unrelated to problem gambling:

  • Account access is restricted indefinitely.
  • Re-opening is possible on request, with a 24-hour cooling-off.
7.7 Statements & History
  • Last 2 years: available instantly in your account.
  • Up to 5 years: request via Support; provided within 10 working days.

Includes deposits, withdrawals, win/loss totals, games played, prizes, bonus use, wager history, and session dates.

7.8 How we use your data

We use your account and gameplay data to provide limits, timeouts, and exclusions; to detect high-risk patterns; and to prevent duplicate accounts during exclusion. We process this data under our Privacy Policy and security controls. We do not use responsible-gaming data to market to you.

7.9 Important note about Withdrawals

We never use responsible-gaming measures to delay legitimate withdrawals.

8. Contacts
